The DeLorenzo Incorporated staff supported the Remembering Ryan team in taking part in the JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes this morning at the UCSD campus. As I mention previously, Ryan Kelley Spohr had Type 1 diabetes and died in an automobile accident on December 20, 2006, when is blood sugar level dropped too low.
There are 200 Walk sites nationwide this year. We shared this walk amongst many others who wanted to raise money to find a cure for this disease that affects millions of people young and old. What I learned was that scientists are predicting that we can expect to see a cure in our lifetime. Just alone Remembering Ryan raised over $1070 and that is just the begining. It starts with people like us who want to make a difference. We want to help those who are and may be affected by this disease.
Thanks for your support! R.I.P. Ryan.
